Ever since I can remember, my mom would make Puffed Wheat Squares on the 1st of July, for Canada Day. Now, I carry on the tradition and make them every July to celebrate Canada Day with my mom and all of her family.
Consider yourself lucky if you get one of these tasty treats if you live outside of Canada. The best way to describe these are a chocolaty, Canadian twist on Rice Krispie Treats. If you’re still questioning making them, just give it a go and try them.
I have tried several different recipes and they all taste great to me, so I’m sharing the one I made this year and linking you to a few others that are winners.
